Adelaida Madrid Hernandez (Adel), 65, returned to her heavenly home on February 10, 2016. She was born November 27, 1950, in Lubbock, Texas.

Adel was the beloved wife and best friend of her one and only love of 44 years, Pascual Hernandez. Devoted mother of Cynthia Hernandez-Guerra (husband, Jerry Guerra) and Veronica Hernandez. Doting grandmother of Andrew Hernandez Guerra.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished. She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, sister, and friend, always putting others before herself. She had the most generous, loving heart and she never ceased trying to make other people’s lives better with her prayers and her sacrifices. Her family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was her life.

She is preceded in death by her father - Catarino Madrid, mother - Guadalupe Alaniz, brothers - Eugene Madrid, Catarino Madrid Jr., Rejino Madrid, and Gilbert Madrid, and sisters - Michelle Hinojosa, Sarah Hernandez, and Elvira Villa.

Visitation at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels, 14315 Judson Road, on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Final celebratory mass at Saint Helena’s Catholic Church, 14714 Edgemont, on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at 10:00 a.m.

After mass, final visitation and light refreshments at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels.

Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:15 p.m.
