Our Dad, Alejandro Hernandez was born April 24, 1937 in San Antonio, TX. He was the oldest child to Catarino and Concepcion Hernandez. He attended Lanier High School and he later drafted into the U.S. Army. A few years later he would marry the love of his life, Gregoria. In the late 70's, Dad came to know Jesus as his personal Savior. Dad went home to the Lord on December 24, 2015, joined again and forever with our Mom. He is survived by his six children, Rick (Araceli) Vega, Anthony (Tonie) Vega, Cynthia (Roderick) Hernandez, Julissa (Mike) Lopez, Denise (Anthony) Alonzo, and Eric Hernandez. He had fourteen grandchildren and had nicknames for all of them. Justin (Flaco) Vega, Natalie Vega, Stephanie (Stauffy) Vega, Alexis (Mija) Vega, Patrick (Pelonice) Vega, Phillip (Mi Gordo) Hernandez, Lindsey (Shamira) Vega, Emmanuel (Wero) Vega, Carissa (Cookie) Vega, Abigail (mi linda) Vega, Naomi (Denise) Lopez, Julian (Mi papi) Lopez, Roderick (Papasito) Brown, and Norah (Mija) Hernandez, and one great-grandchild, Camilla Vega. He is also survived by his mother Concepcion Hernandez, his three brothers, Catarino Hernandez Jr. Edward Hernandez, and Daniel Hernandez, and his five sisters, Gloria Rodriguez, Josefina Ramirez, Beatrice Mauricio, Rosa Martinez, Guadalupe Cazares and many nephews and nieces and extended family. He was a great dad and a great provider for his family and he will be greatly missed.
