Alejandro Rengifo, aged 78, peacefully passed away on May 15, 2024, in San Antonio, TX. Born in Cali, Colombia to Octavio Rengifo and Sixta Tulia Arboleda, Alejandro was a diligent and hard-working individual who dedicated his life to his family and career. Education held a special place in his heart, and he pursued it with unwavering passion, earning a Chemical Engineering & Chemistry Degree from The University of Del Valle. Throughout his professional journey, Alejandro worked at Qing, Fleischmann’s, Alcon, and finally DPT Laboratories.
At a young age, Alejandro met his beloved wife, Magnolia Rengifo, and together they raised three daughters: Claudia Maria Rengifo, Ines Elizabeth Villarreal, and Alexandra Maria Rengifo. As a husband and father, Alejandro always prioritized his family, demonstrating unwavering dedication. He was an avid reader, a devoted member of the Catholic church, and actively involved in the Colombian community. During his retirement, Alejandro cherished his time with family, indulging in his love for reading. His presence was a source of support and guidance, reflecting his strong, kind, and loving nature. Alejandro's love will forever remain the cornerstone of his family's lives.
Alejandro is survived by his wife of 53 years, Magnolia Rengifo, his daughters Claudia Maria Rengifo, Ines Elizabeth Villarreal (Raul Villarreal), and Alexandra Maria Rengifo. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren: Jose Alejandro Martinez, Mariana Isabel Martinez, Santiago David Martinez, Victor Emilio Villarreal, and Ana Lucia Villarreal.
The Funeral Mass Services will take place at the sacred grounds of St. Matthew's Catholic Church on Thursday, May 30th, commencing at 10am. The church is situated at 10703 Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78230.
