Angelita G. Martinez

Angelita G. Martinez, a beloved wife, mother, and cherished member of the San Antonio community, passed away on October 22, 2023, at the age of 86. She was born on January 12, 1937, in San Antonio, where she lived a life filled with joy and love.

Angelita's vibrant personality touched the hearts of everyone she met. She had a special gift for bringing laughter into people's lives and had a positive impact on everyone around her. Her warm smile and infectious laughter will always be remembered by those who had the privilege to know her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years , Jose M. Martinez Sr., and their son Jose Martinez Jr.

Her surviving children include Rosie Moreno (Pete), Dolores Ramos (Ray), Mary Fernandez (Joe), and Jesse Martinez (Becky); daughter-in-law Pat Casillas; and sister Carmen Guerra.

Angelita will always be celebrated for the loving bonds she created within her family. She leaves behind a legacy that includes 18 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great-grandchildren. The strength of these familial ties is a testament to the love she shared with those closest to her.

To honor Angelita's memory and celebrate her beautiful life, services will be held at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels-South in San Antonio on November 1st from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The visitation will provide an opportunity for friends and loved ones to come together to share stories and find solace in their shared memories.

A Rosary will be recited 6:30pm at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels-South. This intimate gathering will offer a moment of reflection and spiritual comfort for all who attend.

On November 2nd, a Mass will be held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in San Antonio at 10:00 AM. The Mass will be a beautiful tribute to Angelita's strong faith and devotion.

Afterward, Angelita will be laid to rest at San Fernando Cemetery No. II in San Antonio. The burial service will take place at 11:30 AM and provide an opportunity for family and friends to say their final goodbyes in a peaceful and serene setting.

Angelita G. Martinez touched the lives of many with her radiant spirit, laughter, and unconditional love. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family and friends, who will continue to cherish the memories they shared with her.
