Anita Leija Cabrera

Anita Leija Cabrera born July 25, 1937 passed away peacefully on February 9, 2014 at the age of 76 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hieberto Leija and Trinidad Mora, and sister, Evangelina Leija. Anita is survived by her husband Oscar Esparza; sons, Raymond, Ruben (Vangie), Roger, Ralph, and Richard A. Carrillo and Jesus F. Cabrera; daughter, Anna M. Chavez; sister, Gloria Leija; half sisters, Carmen Perez and Lili Vasquez; 24 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; son-in-law, Ralph Chavez; numerous daughters-in-law; and other relatives and friends. Anita enjoyed dancing, playing bingo and loteria. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her especially Dr. Carl Duke and the staff at U.S. Renal Dialysis on E. Houston St., Bridgette Cabrera for always being there for Mrs. Cabrera while she was ill, and Becky with Ideal Transportation.
