Antonio H. Martinez

October 29, 1946 — February 2, 2022

Antonio H. Martinez, born October 29th, 1946, passed from this life on February 2nd, 2022, at the age of 75. He is preceded in death by his siblings Pablo Martinez, Isidro Martinez, Josefa Llanas, Refugia Torrez, Petra Rodriguez, Guadalupe Llanas, Jesus Martinez, and Seferino Martinez. Antonio, "Tony", " Tonío" as he was known and affectionately called is survived by his wife Jesusita Ana Martinez, or "Suzy"; son Jimmy Martinez; daughter in law Angelica Martinez; grandchildren Donavan Jaramillo, Rene De La Vega, and Chloee Martinez; great grandson, Donavan Jaramillo Jr.; brother, Jose "Joe" Martinez and sister, Isabel "Vele" Martinez; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and other family members. Tony lived the simple life. He was born in Lockhart, Tx traveled all over the U.S. working as a migrant worker, settled down in West Texas, and eventually retired from the City of Sundown. After retiring Tony moved to San Antonio to spend the rest of his life with his son, and grandchildren. He enjoyed all things American, Baseball, Apple pies, and Chevrolet , (The "t" must be pronounced in Chevrolet). The things he despised were bad drivers, having to wait for anything, and the New York Yankees. Tonío had a tremendous work ethic, he was loyal, somewhat honest, and very very frugal. Tony came from a large family, and loved them all, even the bad apples. He liked to argue, eat standing up, and make fun of other people. Things just aren't the same since he's been gone. We'll miss you Pops....
