In Loving Memory of Antonio Quijano

September 12, 1940 - March 2, 2025

Antonio Quijano, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 84. Born on September 12, 1940, in Puerto Rico, Antonio lived a life defined by love, dedication, and family.

Antonio was the cherished son of Amparo Quijano and Antonio Quijano, and he grew up as the middle child among five siblings: Casilda Castellon, Miguel Castellon, Zwinda Quijano, and Ivan Quijano. He attended school in Puerto Rico, where his journey of service and commitment began.

Antonio proudly served in the National Guard, where he met the love of his life, Nilda Quijano. Their deep bond led to a beautiful family of four children: Jose Gonzalez, Antonio Quijano, Zwinda Quijano, and Osvaldo Quijano. Antonio's love and dedication to his family shone brightly, extending to his 17 grandchildren and countless great-grandchildren.

He worked at North Independent School District as a custodian, a role he carried out with pride and excellence. Antonio valued the importance of hard work and was deeply respected for his contributions within the district. In his leisure time, he enjoyed the simple joys of life, such as watching horse races, but his greatest passion was always his family, whom he cherished deeply.

Antonio is survived by his devoted wife, Nilda Quijano, his children Antonio Quijano, Zwinda Quijano, and Osvaldo Quijano, his siblings Miguel Castellon and Zwinda Quijano, his grandchildren, and a vast lineage of great-grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy.

Antonio will forever be remembered for his gentle spirit, unwavering love, and the life lessons he passed down to his family. His legacy will live on through the generations, in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.

"He will forever be in our hearts. His life, his love, and his legacy will never be forgotten."

The family has chosen to hold a private remembrance to honor his life.
