Armando A. Ramirez (Mando) (Mandito) (Dr.Brown) His gift of life was on September 30,1946 and went into peace and rest on February 04, 2021. Preceded in departing by his Parents: father Herman Ramirez and mom Janie Ramirez, niece Carol Lynn Ruppel, brother-in-law Bill Ruppel, Joe Jay, grandparents, Savino and Aurora Jaramillo, Apolinar Ramirez and Maria Valdez, uncle Sammy and Vicky Jay, Joe and Hope Uresti, Savino Jaramillo Jr., Tom and Nona Hernandez, Manuel Escobedo, Joe Luna, Amador Valdez, Maria Valdez, Petra Valdez, Rosie Cruz, cousins, Richard and Frances Delgado, Annie Gill, Joe Escobedo,Francis Pena, Josie Luna, Joann Gil Pena. May they Rest In Peace and perpetual light shines upon them. Armando is survived by; sister Maria Ruppel, nephew, William J. Ruppel Jr., William J. Ruppel III, niece Catherine Ruppel, Audree Rose, Kaylee Lynn, and his lab pups. Countless, loving family and friends. We are all blessed by the birth of the best brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend, we have shared, in our life. A sports enthusiast, musician, played violin music, buff, historian, listener, and mentor. His respect for human beings was of excellent essence. His journey in sports began by joining St. Joseph Catholic Church, a hardball baseball team, With a curveball pitch that won them a City Championship. He continued to play through his adulthood enjoying coming home smiling covered in sand. Surrounded by boxing equipment, and learning self-defense he became a golden glove participant and excelled in his division.
Let’s not leave out, marble matches, cards, dice,(Come on 7 need a new pair of shoes), and flying kites. He joined school basketball teams, and though small, he could maneuver his way through players and score wooing the crowd. When Spurs came to town, he joined the cheering squad known as Base Line Bums, members were in professional fields, displaying great fun. His traveling was to Cowboy Games, and Texas longhorn Season Pass member. Wow, we cannot leave out New Orleans, Mardi Gras before fasting for lent. A neighbor extended an invitation with permission, for Mando, to join his two sons at his pool hall. He became skilled in the sport, which opened competitive challenges in many leagues, as a member,co-Captain and Captain through the years. That being said, Mandito, as a team player, became Captain of “Young-ins” Name derived from his known means of addressing a person. A Universal Billiard Competition, of 4,000 players equaling 500 teams in Las Vegas, landed them 17th place APA.
