Arthur Donald White

Arthur D. White passed away onJanuary 7, 2011 at the age of 81. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for over 20 years.He was preceded in death by his wife: Kathleen L. White,father: Daniel T. White,mother: Mary E. White,daughter: Mary E. White, andcousin: Allen Liberty. He is survived by his 5 sons:James, Sean, Brian, Padraic, Quentin;7 daughters:Margaret Schwind, Mary White, Kathleen Mirahver, Lisa Russo, Peggy Wood, Shiela de Leon, Tara Salazar;and 27 grandchildren. He is also survived by7 great-grandchildren.

He retired as a Staff Sergeant. His tours included assignments at the conclusion of WWII, the Korean and Vietnam wars. Military honors include: Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service Medal, W/5 BSS, Army Occupational Medal (Japan), Bronze Arrow Head, United Nations Service Medal, Parachutist Badge. He also earned the General Custer Trophy for first place in individual pistol match with the all time high score.

Cemetery:
A procession will be departing the funeral home at 10:15 A.M. for Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery for a 10:45 A.M. Graveside Service.
