Arthur R Cruz

Arthur R. Cruz, a resident of San Antonio, Texas, who worked for The United States Postal Service for 17 years died unexpectedly on July 3rd, 2019 of natural causes at the age of 76.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ynez and Carolina Cruz, sister Connie Cruz, and nephew R. Cris Castaneda. He is survived by his brother Alfred Cruz; sisters, Christina Castaneda (Richard Castaneda), Suzanna Barbosa, Cynthia Murphy (Eddie Murphy Sr.) and nieces, Denise Castaneda Ramirez, Adriana Barbosa Nina Barbosa and Alisha Murphy; nephews, Eddie Murphy Jr. and Marcus Murphy; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Arthur was born in Taylor, Texas on November 21, 1942 to Ynez and Carolina Cruz. As a senior in high school he worked at Centeno`s Supermarket and as a Caddy at the San Antonio Country Club. A few years later Arthur moved to Washington D.C. to begin his career with the United States Postal Service. He prided himself with ultimately being the primary breadwinner. He worked hard to be able to move his siblings to a brand new home on the Northeast Side of San Antonio where he lived out the rest of his life.

He will be missed, loved and forever in our hearts.
