On Friday, March 12, 2021, Arturo V. Sanchez, loving husband and father of 4 children and 4 step-children passed away at the age of 72 years old.

Arturo V. Sanchez was born on December 13, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas to Nieves and Jesusa Sanchez. He worked at Ocean Spray in Kenosha, Wisconsin and retired in 2005, and moved to San Antonio, Texas in 2005.

He is preceded in death by his father, Nieve Sanchez; his mother, Jesusa (Villalobos) Sanchez; his brother, Joe Villalobos; his step-daughter, Donna R. Sauceda; and his brother-in-law, Rickey Owens.

He leaves behind his loving wife Janie of 22 years married; his children, Lisa Marie (Jamal) Muhammad of Racine, WI, Christine Mary Sanchez (Jeremey Bueno) of Avon Park Lakes, FL, Arturo Paul Sanchez (Angel Ortiz) of Racine, WI, and Lynda Lee Sanchez of Racine, WI; his step-children, Ricky R. Sauceda of Bemidji, Minnesota, Martin (Krista) Sauceda of Kenosha, WI, and Amanda Lynn Genther of Kenosha, WI; his 23 grandchildren, Ashalee, Maji, Renzo, Valencia, Luis Jr., Valentino, Madison, Paul Jr., Lilly, Zane, Alianna, Armando, Troy, Dylon, Desiree, Makayla, Sam, Alyssa, Alex, Austin, Adrianna, Derrick, and Destiny; his 8 great-grandchildren, Sophia, Isaiah, Jasper, Rhayven, Katalina, Carter, Leo, and Avery; his brother, Gilbert (Elena) Sanchez of Houston, TX; his sisters, Janie Valle of San Antonio, TX, Rosa Gonzales of San Antonio, TX, Rebecca Owens of San Antonio, TX, and Olga (Dean) Kirk of San Antonio, TX. He also leaves behind extended family and friends who meant so much to him.

He enjoyed listening and dancing to Tejano music at the VFW Post 76. Watching western movies while sitting in his favorite reclining chair. He enjoyed going to breakfast at his favorite restaurant, Sonia’s for a breakfast taco, coffee, and reading the daily newspaper.

His favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys and his favorite baseball team was the New York Yankees.

Arturo V. Sanchez was immensely loved and will be dearly missed.
