Aurora L. Montez

Aurora L. Montez, known to the family as Granny, went into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, September 14, 2008. Born February 28, 1918, she will now join her husband Antonio H. Montez and brothers and sisters who preceded her. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Sanchez and son, Antonio Montez, Jr. , as well as the 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. Granny was very close to the family and loved attending birthday parties as she would make sure to sit next to the birthday cake. She is known to have had a sweet tooth and ate ice-cream till the last minute of her life. She will be deeply miss by all family and friends, but will always be in our thoughts and prayers and for the unborn great grandchildren that will never meet their granny.

Cemetery:
Graveside service will be Thursday, September 18, 2008, Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery 10:30am arrival.

Visitation:
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 17, 2008 from 4pm until 8pm with a Holy Rosary at 6:30pm
