Barbara Elaine Brown Reid went to be with the Lord on February21, 2011 in New Bruanfels, TX. She was born January 15, 1941 in Del Rio, Texas. Barbara was a Registered Nurse for over 47 years. She worked in the Robert B. Green Hospital, Edgewood and Comal School Districts and finished her career at UTSA Student Health Clinic.She loved nursing, playing rook, reading, friends and family (She was the next to the youngest of 6 siblings) butespecially loved doting on her grandchildren. She lived life to the fullest.
Those whom preceded her in death are her loving husband of 47 years, Jack R. Reid, son: Jack R. Reid, Jr.; brothers: Richard Brown, August Brown; sisters: Marjorie Brown-Potter, Peggy Brown-Earl.
She will be awaiting the arrival of those she is survived by her sons: Jack E., Jeffery R and his wife, Meredith, Robert B, son-by-choice, Philip CharleyGannonand his wife, Candice; daughter: Barbara Kelso and her husband, Tracie, grandchildren: Dalton Reid, Mason Reid, Weston Kelso, CarlieKelso, Ellie Gannon, Olivia Gannon; brother: Charles A. Brown and his partner, Molly May; cousin: Larry A. Brown and his wife, Betty. She is also survived by numerous nieces,nephews and special friends whom she loved and adored. The family will receive friend and family on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, 6:00 P.M. 8:00 P.M., at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels, 14315 Judson Rd., San Antonio, TX 78233. A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, 9:30 A.M., at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
