Barbara F. Wright passed from her earthly bounds during the evening of
May 27th to join her heavenly father and be amongst her mother,
sisters, brothers and beloved friends. Barbara fell on Sunday May
24th and suffered a hemorrhagic stroke which proved to be fatal. Much
gratitude is extended to the nursing staff of the 4th floor StoneOak
Methodist Hospital and her physicians for the care and kindness
extended to Barbara and her family.
Barbara was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and a
member of the famed Jefferson Lassos. She loved to fish, shop and
travel, meeting and making friends wherever she went. Barbara was an
active member and on the board of the SAN ANTONIO STATE HOSPITAL. She
owned and ran her own printing consultant business, FINGERPRINTS and
fulfilled her lifelong dream of working with her daughter, Kathy at
MANY HANDS GALLERY. We will all miss Barbara whose tenacity and
strengths at whatever she chose in life will leave a tender
remembrance of her to all she met and worked with.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Rosalie and Julian
Lafayette Woodall, her step-father Earl Hug, her daughter Linda along
with her sisters Jean and Nancy in addition to her brothers Reggie and
Ross.
She leaves behind daughter Kathy and her husband Kenneth Moore,
son Don Tiner and his wife Rosie and son Chris Tiner and his wife
Shawndy along with her beloved sister Jouan McIntosh and precious
cousin Nita Spitzer, as well as a host of grandchildren, great
grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and great
nephews.
A memorial service will be held for Barbara at St. Gregory the
Great (700 Dewhurst Rd. San Antonio, TX 78213) at 11am Wednesday, June
