Beloved wife and mother Betty J. Creamer, of San Antonio (formerly of Austin and Fredericksburg, Texas), was born July 9, 1926 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and died peacefully in her sleep at age 88 on October 18, 2014, in San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Edith Barrington, brother, Keith Barrington, and husband, William G. "Bill" Creamer. Four children survive Betty: Robert Creamer, Linda Kidd, Mary C. Becquet and Margaret Hudon. The family lived in Hawaii, Washington, California and Florida as Bill served in the US Navy, and settled in Austin in 1967. A talented artist, Betty was a professional illustrator for the State of Texas. Committed to service, she was also a docent at the LBJ Library in Austin, a Master Gardener for the Travis County Extension Office, and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Betty appeared in films including "Hope Floats" and "The Trial of James Earl Ray"; and was once a guest on the "Maury Povitch Show". Creative and inquisitive, Betty brought humor and boundless energy to everything she did. She is greatly loved and missed.
