Betty Jane Tapia, a vibrant and joyful soul filled the lives of all who knew her with warmth and cheerfulness. She passed away on December 7, 2023, leaving behind a legacy that will be forever cherished.
Born on September 23, 1946, Betty brought light into the world from the moment she entered it. Throughout her life, she remained active in her church, dedicating her time and energy to serving others. Her faith was an integral part of who she was, and she found joy in bringing comfort and solace to those around her.
One of Betty's endearing qualities was her ability to give everyone a nickname. Her playful nature and unique sense of humor brought laughter to gatherings and created a sense of camaraderie among friends and family. Her endearing nicknames will forever echo in the memories of those fortunate enough to have known her.
Betty's love for dancing was unparalleled. Whenever there was music playing, you could count on seeing her gracefully move across the dance floor with a smile that radiated pure happiness. Her passion for dance not only brought her joy but also inspired others to let loose and embrace the rhythm of life.
Betty was a college educated woman who went on the work for Southwestern Bell, now AT&T, for over 15 years. She also went on to own and operate five Asadero Restaurants around San Antonio.
Family was of utmost importance to Betty. She leaves behind a circle of loved ones who will deeply miss her presence in their lives. Betty is survived by her devoted son Anthony and loving daughter-in-law Lilly. The memories they shared will forever remain treasured within their hearts. Also surving Betty are her grandchildren Anthony Nicholas, Lillybeth, Angel Humberto; siblings Lee Ramirez Jr., Beatrice Puente, Raymond Ramirez, Carrie Jimenez, and Belinda Garcia. Betty reunites with her parents Librado and Carolina Ramirez, and her beautiful daughter Elizabeth Arrañaga.
To honor Betty's life and pay tribute to the impact she had on those around her, services will be held in San Antonio, Texas. The visitation will take place at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels - Northeast, located at 14315 Judson Road, on December 20, 2023, from 4:00 PM. to 8:00 with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 PM. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 11 AM on December 21, 2023, to celebrate an 11:30 AM Mass of Reserruction at San Juan de los Lagos Catholic Church, situated at 3231 El Paso Street. Interment will follow at San Fernando #2 Cemetery.
Betty Jane Tapia's zest for life and infectious spirit touched the hearts of many. Her vibrancy and joyfulness served as a shining light that illuminated even the darkest of moments. Though she may no longer be physically present, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all whose lives she touched.
