Bob Willliam Marx

July 19, 1949 — October 25, 2014

Robert “Bob” William Marx passed away Saturday October 25, 2014 at the age of 65. Bob was born on
July 19, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio where he attended Mt. Healthy High School. In 1968, Bob joined the
United States Navy and proudly served for 7 years. Bob has been a resident of San Antonio, Texas since
1971. He served the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years and delivered mail from the Cresthaven and Nimitz Station where he had many friends.

He loved the outdoors and loved to watch birds in his backyard and garden, tending to his pride and joy, his tomato plants. He also loved fishing and had many fishing trips with his family. Cooking was his passion and he often shared his famous brisket for friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert William Marx & Margaret Rita Tobin Marx. Bob is survived by his wife, Carolyn Marie Herzog Marx; children, Eric Robert Marx and wife Sarah Beth Marx, Brian William Marx and wife Vickie Anne Poggioli-Marx, Sarah Elizabeth Wagoner and husband Scott Wagoner, and Matthew Timothy Marx; grandchildren, Asher Luke Marx, Ethan Jacob Marx, Abigail Grace Marx, Owen James Wagoner, Aubrey Lynn Wagoner, Brynn Elizabeth Wagoner; siblings, Kathy Traylor and husband Frank Traylor, John Marx and wife Gail Marx, Toby Marx and wife Beth Marx; nieces and nephews, Shelli Traylor-Arvin, Katie Traylor Zeinner, Logan Marx, and Lance Marx.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to benefit Disabled American Veterans, www.dav.org, an organization that benefitted Bob significantly.

The family would like to acknowledge the professional and compassionate service of the doctors and nurses at Northeast Methodist ICU.

Bob lived his life fully and on his own terms. He leaves behind a family who will carry his memory through their lives along with the many stories he loved to tell.
