Our much-beloved son, nephew, cousin, and friend, Brian James McSweeney, of San Antonio, Texas, passed peacefully at University Hospital on 27th of November 2017. He was 42 years old. Family members were by his side.
He had bravely confronted and contended with heart-related health issues as well as cerebral palsy his entire life. Despite these disabilities, he was a very loving and caring person, with a very bright personality, who had a great passion for life. He has a magical way with people that immediately won their love, affection, and respect. He will be sorely missed by all those who loved him dearly and those whose path crossed his.
He was born September 3, 1975 in Teaneck, New Jersey. He lived in San Antonio with his beloved mother, Rose Marie, these past years. He graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School. Special thanks and gratitude go to the medical staff at the hospital for their efforts to resuscitate him; and also to the fine folks at the Northgate Health & Rehabilitation Center who had made his life more enjoyable and provided him excellent care and assistance.
Brian is survived by his mother Rose Marie; uncles James and Bob; Aunts Monika and Tracy; Cousins Julian, Kevin, Kason, Andre, Sophie, Sidney, Katy, and Jake.
The family will celebrate a final private viewing of Brian at the Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels and his final resting place will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Our heartfelt condolences reach out to his ever loving and protective mother. May she ultimately find peace of mind and spiritual comfort to offset her sad and grief-stricken loss.
Our earnest wish is that Brian may eternally rest in peace. He is in all of our thoughts and prayers.
