Burleigh (Scotty) Mason Lufkin, Jr.

Ret. USAF TSgt Burleigh Mason Lufkin, Jr. Scotty died on August 1, 2009 at his home in San Antonio, TX.He was born in Portland, ME on January 29, 1947, the son of Burleigh Mason Lufkin, Sr. and Norma L. Lufkin, Sr. He grew up in Westbrook, ME and graduated from Westbrook High in 1966. Burleigh served in the Air Force from 1966 to 1986. He was proud and committed to serve his country and God. He had talent and hobbies from horseback riding, piano to hunting and fishing. He loved fast cars, especially, that Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He will be remembered for the life he brought into this world with his sense of humor, his gift of gab, his unforgettable laughter, his love for people, and most of all the love he had for his family. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. Scotty was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Corazon Aida B. Lufkin, Jr. of San Antonio, TX; beloved daughter, Daphne A. Lufkin-Garcia and her husband Duane Garcia; Scottys treasured grandchildren, Deidre, Gianna, and Everett Mason Garcia of Lytle, TX; beloved son, Burleigh Mason Lufkin, III of San Antonio, TX; brother, Michael B. Lufkin, Sr. of Norway, ME; sister, Pauline N. Lufkin of Casco, ME; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cemetery:
A 1:30 p.m. graveside services will be held Friday, August 7, 2009 atFort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors.

Visitation:
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 5, 2009 from 1pm until 8pm, Puente Sons Funeral Chapels - South.
