Carlos Chavez

Mr. Carlos Chavez was born on January 7, 1931 in Monterrey Mexico to Ruben and Priscilliana Arredondo Chavez. Both parents preceded him in death. He departed this earthly life and was ushered into the presence of the Lord on April 9, 2012 at the Audie L. Murphy Veterans Administration Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Carlos lived in Houston and San Antonio most of his life. He was retired and worked as a butcher for many years at the Petroleum Club in Houston, Texas and The Cork Club. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he proudly served his country. Mr. Chavez is survived by his sons: Cesar Chavez his wife Rosario, and Phillip Chavez his wife Deborah; daughter: Molly Cervantes; brothers: Roberto Chavez and Ruben Chavez; sisters: Graciela Grissom and Teresa Soto; grandchildren: David, Cindy, Gabriel, Michael, Diego, Phillip, Paul, Jake; and may more friends and family who will miss him dearly.

The will be a memorial service held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. - 12:30 P.M., with a prayer service being held at 10:00 A.M.
