Carlos Garcia enjoyed life. He was a great Dad, Brother, Grandpa, Tio and friend. He was a grill master. Everyone liked to have him BBQ. He enjoyed trips to the coast to go fishing. He loved drinking a beer and listening to his music...and the music was loud!!! He liked all kinds of music from the classic rock of CCR, the country tunes of George Strait, and of course Tejano hits. He was an easy going, laid back man. This past December, he retired from San Antonio Housing Authority. He was an inspector and had spent years working as a carpenter foreman and had also worked in the Facilities Management department of El Tropicano Hotel. If you needed help, you could call and count on him. He wanted what was best for his two kids Yvette and Chris Garcia. He taught them what he could from life to musical taste. He was born December 9, 1953. He lost his battle to COVID19 and its complications on July 24, 2020. Carlos is survived by his loca sisters Esperanza “Hope” Rivera, Lucy Garcia, and Jesusita “Suzy” Palafos and his brother David Garcia. “Don Carlos" incredible legacy includes his son and daughter “Don” Christopher Carlos Garcia and Yvette Marie Garcia and her kids Carlos and Aiyana Leigh. He will be remembered by the Luna Family as “Popo” - Julia Luna, Brittany Nicole Rios, Monica Marice Luna, Jazmine Luna, Ezmarie Inez Cavazos, Selena Jolie Cavazos, Zada Cavazos, Zena Cavazos, Ezekiel Dio Cavazos. Also by numerous other relatives and dear friends. He will be greatly missed by never forgotten.
