Carolina Caballero Rivas

Ms. Carolina Caballero Rivas passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the age of 71 years. She was born in Monterrey, Mexico and moved to San Antonio in August of 1954. Ms. Carolina went to school in the states and continued her education through high school and some college. On September 25, 1971, she married Roy. R. Rivas and had two daughters. Carolina worked for the school district and retired in 2004.  After retirement, she enjoyed gardening, going to church with friends, and spending time with her daughters and granddaughter whom she loved very much. On December 11, 2014, she was sworn in as a citizen of the United States of America which she was very proud of.   She will be greatly missed.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Gilberto Caballero, Carolina Caballero, and by her brother, Gilberto Caballero. She is survived by her daughters, Veronica Rivas, Vanessa Rivas Barnes, her grandaughter, Ashley Barnes, her sister, Graciela Waters and by her son-in-law, Brian Barnes. Services will be held Sunday January 29th at 2pm, in the Grace Chapel of the Castle Hills Church, 2220 NW Military HWY,San Antonio, Tx 78213
