Cecil Puente

Cecil Puente of Universal City, Texas passed peacefully on 15 May 2022, at the age of 71. He is preceded in death
by his parents Cecil and Rafaela Puente and stepson Corey Cumby. 
He was born on Oct 30th 1950, in Ventura, California, and raised in Thousand Oaks, California. He graduated from
Newbury Park High School in 1969. Shortly after graduation, he was drafted by the US Navy, where he served honorably.
Once discharged he worked as a concrete mason alongside his father before his death. In his early thirties, he moved to San Antonio, Texas where he worked for the City of Schertz and Universal City, within the Public Works Departments, until he pursued his dream job in the trucking industry. After traveling for over 20 years and millions of miles within 48 states, he became a local driver for Southern Warehouse in San Antonio. 
His many passions in life were surfing, fishing, classic cars, riding his motorcycle, enjoying live bands, and beating your local pool sharks just to name a few. 
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Shirley Ann, and his children Cody (Michelle), Jeff (Tamora), and Nina (Puente)
Stone. He has 7 grandchildren: Ja’Cora, Lily, Jessie, Mia, Nathan, Cristian, and Mariah. His 7 Siblings: Henry (Barbara)
Lopez, David (Debbie) Puente, Richard (LeeAnn) Puente, MaryEllen Brooks, Nancy (John) Velasquez, Juanita Puente,
and Rebecca (Charles) Tello. His Godson, Eric Argate, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. 
His love for his family was unconditional, he was heartwarming and had a very kind soul. His loving nature, sense of
humor along with his quick wit will be missed by all who knew him.
