Charles R. Adame, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on November19, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on July 14, 1936, Charles devoted his life to his family and his country, having served honorably in the Army as a jet mechanic.
Charles was known for his vivacious spirit and love for life. He met his cherished wife, Maria Del Rosario Zuniga Adame, at a dance, a setting reflective of their deep passion for music and movement. Their sixty years of marriage were filled with joyful moments on the dance floor, as well as cherished excursions to the beach and river, where they created lasting memories with their family. Charles was a unifying force, often inviting cousins and extended family members to join them in these gatherings, underscoring his commitment to togetherness and family bonds.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Rosie Adame; his son, David Z. Adame, and his wife, Susan G.; sisters Mary Helen Rodriguez (Tony) and Blanche Rico (Mike); grandchildren Vanessa Munoz (Anthony) and Priscilla Aguirre (Daniel); as well as his precious great-grandchildren Jason, Harlow, Dylan, Nadia, Victoria, Chloe, Nathan, Nina, and Olivia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Adelina Adame, his son Charles "Chuck," and his brothers Walter and Leo, along with his sisters Virginia and Lily.
Charles will be remembered not only for his contributions to his country but also for his unwavering love for his family and his zest for life. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and lives of those he leaves behind.
Graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 27, 20204 at 9:15AM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery 1520 Harry Wurzbach, San Antonio, Texas 78209 SHELTER #2.
