Charles Michael Alvarado, 55, was born in San Benito, Texas on October 6, 1961. After a battle with liver cancer, he entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 6, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Carlos M. Alvarado; his paternal grandparents, Rosalio and Lucia Alvarado, and his maternal grandparents, Antonio and Marcela Gracia.
Left to cherish his memory are Norma L. Alvarado, their sons, Christopher Mark and Charles Matthew Alvarado. His loving mother, Lucinda G. Alvarado, his sister, Belinda M. Alvarado, his nephew Anthony (Lindsay) Gutierrez, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends, but by all those fortunate to have known him.
Michael, was a lifetime resident of Brownsville Texas. He was a proud member of the ROTC program at Homer Hanna High and graduated with the class of 1980. After graduation, he studied at Texas Southmost College. His greatest love was spending time watching his sons play sports, fishing, playing pool, and golf.
Michael's wishes were to be cremated and have his ashes spread in South Bay, which was one of his favorite fishing locations. A private service for immediate family will be held in Brownsville, Texas at a later date.
Cremation has been entrusted to Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels in San Antonio, Texas. An online tribute is available through the funeral home website www.puenteandsons.com.
