Christopher Michael Garza II

Christopher Michael Garza II passed from this life on January 17, 2024. Christopher is survived by his beloved daughter, Ava Garza (11); wife Rebecca (Ingram) Garza; parents Susan and Chris Garza, and Melvin Sharum. He is also survived by his sisters and their spouses, Connie and Kierstin Wilson, and Melissa and Matt Lawrence, sister Patricia Gomez, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse and Rosario Fraga, and Antonio and Maria Garza.

Chris was born in San Antonio, Texas, on January 5, 1983. He grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Fox Tech High School in 2001. He attended the University of Texas at Austin and lived in Austin for 14 years, then moved back to San Antonio in 2015 to be closer to family. He graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2017. He was employed at Cude Engineers at the time of his death as a Project Surveyor. Chris had his SIT (Surveyor in Training) and Drone Operator licenses and was studying for his RPLS (Registered Professional Land Surveyor) license at the time of his passing.

Chris loved his daughter first and foremost. She was the light of his life, and he is hers. Chris also loved listening to and making music, swimming and being near water, spending time with friends and family, being with his two dogs, learning new technology, pursuing creative art projects, and learning about various cultures and religions to expand his mind. Chris’ kind and generous heart was evident to everyone he met. His smile lit up a room, and his legacy will live on in his friends and family. He had a calming spirit and truly wanted “every little thing to be all right.” Chris would want us all to rejoice that he is at peace and is reveling in heaven.

The memorial service will be held at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapel at 14315 Judson Road, San Antonio, TX 78233, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Chapel service will begin at 5 p.m.
