One of a kind man, Cleo Ade Walton Jr. age 75, earned his Angel wings on Saturday August 12, 2017 at 10:40 p.m. at North Central Baptist Hospital in San Antonio TX.
He was born in Wynnewood Oklahoma in 1942 to Mr. Cleo Ade Walton Sr. and Mrs. Elva Mae McNeill Duffy. Cleo was a long time resident of San Antonio TX. As a child he lived in Mt. Ida, Arkansas, where he lived with his Aunt Ola Mae Walton. He attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas 1960 to 1965. He worked for the Corps of Engineers in Little Rock Arkansas while in college and transferred to the Fort Worth, TX branch in May of 1969. Cleo retired as a Civil Electrical Engineer in 2001 from Brooks Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. He married Claudia Walton on September 26, 2009, in San Antonio Texas and they shared 8 wonderful years.
Cleo enjoyed river running and traveling in the Casita for months on end. Just a few of his favorite rivers he rafted include: Colorado River in the Grand Canyon (9 times), Middle Fork Salmon River (3 times), and many other rivers such as the Rio Grande (7+), San Juan, Taos Box Canyon and the Boundary Waters in Canada. Favorite casita trips were to the Utah National Parks and across Alaska. Additionally: Cleo was a member of the Masons, MG Car Club, Casita Traveling Club, Dallas Down River Club, Explorer Post 425, and Saturday Paddlers.
Cleo was preceded in death by his father Mr. Cleo Ade Walton Sr., mothers Mrs. Elva Mae McNeill Duffy and Berndetta Walton, aunt Ms. Ola Mae Walton, sister Ms. Bonnie Kinsey, uncle Charlie and wife Louota Walton and cousin Viola Mae Reardon.
Cleo is survived by his loving wife Claudia of San Antonio TX. His daughters Laura and husband Lee, and Theresa. Sons Santana and wife Angelica, Luis and wife Tiffany. Sister Darlene and husband Don. Brother Tom and wife Casey. Grand Children: Amanda and husband Jason, Mathew, Kevin, Justin, Aiden, Ethan, and Emma Grace. Great grandchildren: Lilly, Jaron and Chloe. Nieces and nephews: Danna and Family, Erik and Erin and Family, Mike and Alycia and Family, Elena, Michael, Chris, and Christina and Families. Cousins: Nancy and Family, Dennis and Alexis and family, Greg and Kristan and Family, Jim, Mike and Family.
Other Family: Maria and Families, Carole (married for 18 years), Joe and Susan and Families. Cleo had many deeply cherished neighbors and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Matthew United Methodist Church. 2738 Mac Arthur View, San Antonio, Texas 78217 at 12:00 noon on October 7, 2017 followed by a small reception at the Fellowship Hall, same location.
