CONNIE G LOBELLO
Connie was born July 5, 1947, in Ft. Mill South Carolina, to Fred and Gertrude Garrett. Connie moved to Texas in 1967 and has called Texas her home ever since.
Connie, while working for KONO/KITY radio, produced “Breakfast At the Tower”, where KONO broadcast live from the Tower of Americas for 2 ½ hours on Friday morning.
Friday evenings were “Friday Night Live”, live broadcast from the Quorom club 7-11 PM.
Connie also started up Altman Direct Marketing and handled mailings for Time-Warner Cable when they were ‘Paragon Cable’ and even Rogers Cable. She was also active with the North Chamber of Commerce. Garage sales, Flea markets, and Thrift Stores were also favorite destinations of Connie’s.
Connie is survived by her husband of 34 years, Tony Lobello. She is also survived by three daughters, Lori Daniel of San Antonio, Dana Dague of Pennsylvania, and Lisa Ferguson of Corpus Christi; two sons, Art Schaerein of San Antonio, and
Fred, of Utah, 4 grandsons, 2 great grandsons, one granddaughter, 2 sisters Yvonne Block (Dan) of South Carolina and Lynn Faile (Al) of Georgia. Connie enjoyed growing spices and was known for her chili pequines and jalapenos.
