Ms. Cynthia Jane "Cindy" "Mom" or "Granny Jane" Glover (née Beckham) died peacefully at her home on December 23, 2014 in San Antonio, TX at the age of 75.
She is survived by daughter Katherine Denise Murdock and husband Bradley Murdock, son Oscar Elwood Glover, Jr. and Sandra Ward, son Paul Leslie Glover and wife Elizabeth Grace Glover, granddaughter Kristie Lyn Eglsaer and husband Brian Joseph Eglsaer, step grandsons and granddaughters Justin Murdock and wife Kirstyn Murdock, Kelly Murray and husband Lee Murray, Travis Murdock, and Rachel Murdock, three (going on four) great grandchildren and brother Don Beckham. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and many many friends who love her and will miss her dearly.
Cynthia Jane was born on October 16, 1939 in Sugden, Oklahoma to O'Reta Maples Beckham Lewellen and Wallace Bourland Beckham. She graduated from Irving High School in 1957. She married Oscar Elwood Glover, divorced. She lived in many cities as an adult and settled in San Antonio in 1976. She was most proud of her career as a mother. She had other successful and fulfilling careers later in life working in insurance and real estate.
In addition to being whip smart and being a hard-worker, she enjoyed laughing, playing games, cooking for family and traveling with her family and friends. She was also a talented artist who loved sketching and painting.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 4 p.m. at her home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Cindy's life. Condolences may be sent to her home address. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a local Humane Society would be appreciated. (http://sahumane.org/)
