Cynthia Marie Medina

Cynthia Marie Medina, born on March 2, 1968, and passed away on February 18, 2025, at her residence in San Antonio. She was a vibrant soul, a loving mother, and a cherished grandmother whose spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Cynthia lived a life marked by resilience and love. For over 30 years, she bravely faced numerous health challenges, enduring treatments and multiple surgeries with an unwavering strength that inspired everyone around her. She was indeed a strong woman, embodying courage and determination through life's trials, all while never losing her affectionate touch for her family.

The joy of her life came alive through the laughter of her grandchildren, Michael Rey and Aliyah Rose Moncada. Cynthia relished every moment spent with them, participating in their joyful pursuits, which included sharing the latest TikTok trends and creating lasting memories together. Her heart was deeply woven with love for her family, and she took immense pride in the beauty that ordinary moments with them brought.

Cynthia had an unmistakable passion for life's simple pleasures. She adored the color blue and was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, filling her home with the sounds of cheers and football enthusiasm. Music from the 80s, along with classic rock and anything featuring Sylvester Stallone, brought her happiness and comfort. When her health permitted, she found joy in cooking and cleaning, creating a warm and welcoming environment for her family.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Janelle Marie Moncada (and her husband, Michael), and son, Angel Guadalupe Alaman, Jr. Cynthia also leaves behind her devoted father, Ramiro C. Medina, and her treasured grandchildren, Michael Rey and Aliyah Rose Moncada. The bonds she shared with her siblings-Ramiro C. Medina, Jr., Ralph Medina, and Ruben M. Medina-carried a depth that will continue to resonate through their cherished memories of her.

Cynthia is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Rosario Miranda Medina, and her brother, Roy Medina. While she has departed from this world, the love she shared and the strength she embodied will endure in the hearts of her family and friends.

A visitation will be held on February 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a rosary starting at 6:30 PM at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels-South, located at 3520 South Flores Street, San Antonio, TX. A Mass in her honor will take place at St. Jude Catholic Church on February 28, 2025, at 10:30 AM.
