Dahlia M. Torralva

Dahlia M. Torralva was born on August 27, 1950 and passed peacefully on March 10, 2022. She is survived by her common law husband Matias G. Maximo, her sister, Olga T. Gonzalez, her many nephews and nieces including Joseph Paul Gonzalez, Judith Crawford (husband, Christopher Crawford), Jacqueline Gonzalez and her son, Ezekiel Paul Vaughn, Linda T. Guerreo, Jeanette T. Hanson, Corrine Torralva, Henry Torralva, Jr. and others too numerous to list. Her sisters-in-law include, Terry Torralva, Aurora Torralva and Gilda Torralva. Those preceding her in death were her parents, Gilbert C. Torralva and Paula M. Torralva; her brothers Gilbert M. Torralva, Henry M. Torralva, Richard M. Torralva, Edward M. Torralva and her nephew, Michael Anthony Gonzalez.Dahlia studied at St. Mary's University and obtained an B.A. degree in Accounting. She became a CPA - certified public accountant, and worked many years with her brother Henry M. Torralva, CPA, who owned an accounting firm in Beeville, TX alongside with her niece, Corrine Torralva who was also a CPA. After Henry's death, she worked in various accounting firms.Dahlia became the major caregiver of her mother, Paula Torralva. She was a devoted daughter to the very end. Matias G. Maximo fortunately entered into her life at this time and together they cared for Paula who suffered from the degenerative effects of Alzheimer's Disease for ten years. Later, Matias devotedly cared for Dahlia as her own health deteriorated slowly. He matched her sacrificial love and devotion to the very end.
