Daniel Arthur Alderete

Our beloved son and brother, Daniel Arthur Alderete, age 37, passed from this life Friday, November 27, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Daniel is survived by his parents, Daniel L. and Ann Alderete, and Elizabeth J. Carrego; brother, Chad and his wife Sandy Alderete, and brother, Christopher Alderete; nieces and nephews, Devan, Kylie and Paxton Alderete. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Art and Dolly Carrego, and Santos Alderete.


Danny, or Dan as he preferred to be called as an adult, leaves behind many friends in San Antonio where he grew up and in Slidell, Louisiana where he spent many of his adult years. He was so blessed to have such good friends who never stopped calling, visiting, praying for and loving him to the end.



Dan was a carpenter and remodeler known for his meticulous work and attention to detail and he developed friendships with many of his customers. He was also a gifted and accomplished musician. Although guitars were his first love he was self-taught on several instruments and dabbled in song writing.



The Alderete Family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the most kind, caring and benevolent staff at New Century Hospice in San Antonio, Texas.

Danny, Dan or Daniel, however you knew him will be greatly missed and forever loved.
