Dario Edward Vidal beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend went home to be with his Heavenly Father on July 10, 2009 at the age of 62. He was born August 23, 1946 in San Antonio. He was a 1965 graduate of Fox Tech High School. Dario served his country in the US Navy and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He received 3 bronze stars, The US Navy Commendation Medal and numerous others awards. He retired from USAA after 29 years of service. His all-time passion was playing softball where he met and made many lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Domingo and Lillian Vidal, and father-in-law, Tomas Alden Salame. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Lupe Vidal; his only beloved son and daughter-in-law, David (Letty) Vidal; his treasured grandchildren, David Jr., Brandon, Isabella, Tristan, and soon to be born, Alexander Dario Vidal; brothers, Domingo (Delma) Vidal, Richard (Jane) Vidal; sister, Connie (Raul) Prado; brothers-in-law, Jesse (Delia) Salame, Tomas Salame, Jr., Jose (Wilma) Salame, John (Pat) Salame, Eddie (Margie) Salame; sisters-in-law, Anita (Armando) Castillo, Oralia Salame, Elisa (William) Hardin, and Sandra S. Galvan; also his much-loved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be loved, missed, and in our hearts forever. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.

Visitation:
Visitation will beMonday, July 13, 2009 from 5p.m. until 8pm and Tuesday, July 14, 2009 from 10am until 3p.m.at Puente Sons Funeral Chapels - Northeast. Visitation willcontinue at 5pm at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (4411 Moana Dr.) with Holy Rosary at 7pm.
Service:
A morning visitation will be held from 11am-12pm Wednesday July 15, 2009 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with a Mass of Thanksgiving to be celebrated at 12:15 p.m.
