David Donald Duroy

David D Duroy, of San Antonio Tx, passed away in his sleep, at home, on May 28, 2021 at the age of 81. Born in February 1940, in Caldwell, Kansas, he spent most of his early years in Northern Oklahoma, entering the US Air Force in 1962, stationed in Taiwan and San Antonio, Tx until 1966. He settled in San Antonio, working as a grocery Manager for HEB and, later, super S Foods and raising his family. After retiring, about 10 years ago, he stayed active, spending time with his grandchildren, working on his house and yard, playing guitar, and fishing in the area lakes and down along the Gulf Coast with family and friends. He is survived by his two daughters, Zan Lee DuRoy and Janinne Kay DuRoy Culbertson, son-in-law Edward D Culbertson II; two grandchildren, Gabriel and Madelaine Chbeir; three sisters, Shirley Neal, Elizabeth Emmons, Marilyn Melton and their families. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Allen Duroy and Michael Duroy and his sister Janet Knight.
