David Odom, Sr.

David Leon Odom was born March 9, 1948 in Dallas, Texas. He was adopted by Hulsey Leon and Dorothy Mildred Odom at the age of 5 in Dallas, Texas. In 1967 he graduated from Oliver Wendell Holmes High School in San Antonio, Texas. Shortly after graduating high school, David joined the Army. Boot camp was in Fort Polk, Louisiana. After completion of Boot Camp, David served in South Korea.

After serving two years in the Army, he moved to Midland, Texas in 1970. In 1977, he received his journeyman plumber’s license. He helped in the plumbing of many homes and buildings in Midland.

In 1995, David moved to San Antonio, Texas. He lived there until his death.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Leon Odom.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Odom of Houston; a son, David Odom, Jr. of Midland; daughter, Kristen Sanders of Stephenville; and daughter, Robyn Odom of Midland; and three grandchildren.
