Dennis Elmer Swanson

Dennis Elmer Swanson, 78, of Seguin, Texas, passed away on April 9, 2024. He was born on May 22, 1945, in Breckenridge, MN. Dennis, a Vietnam Veteran, proudly served in the Army for 26 years as a Combat Medic.

Dennis continued his medical career with Transocean Offshore Drilling as an Oil Rig Medic. When not at work, he enjoyed bowling, watching new releases at the movie theater (usually a double feature), going to the flea market, travelling and being the life of the party with his infectious smile.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Aurora or Lola as most know her by, by his children and their spouses Paul and wife Lesliann, Joseph and wife Jo, Tanya and husband Jon, Carmen or Gaby and husband Greg, and Vanesa and husband Jonathan, by his grandchildren Evan, Jordan, Nicolas, Madison, and Leonida or Lilo, as well as by his siblings Richard, Gary, Judy, and Vicki. Dennis was preceded in death by his daughter Sherry Lynne, his parents Elmer and Lorraine, and his brother Darrell.

Viewing and visitation will be held at the Puente & Sons Funeral Home, 14315 Judson Road, San Antonio, TX 78233, on 22 April 2024, from 4:00-8:00 pm. We will also have a moment during the viewing and visitation to celebrate the life of Dennis and share memories with one another starting at 6:00-7:00 pm. The Military Burial Service will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, TX 78209, on 23 April 2024, at 10:45-11:15 am in Shelter #5 (please see map). Dennis will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
