Derek Chase Clark, 41, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024, surrounded by loved ones of a brief battle of cancer.

Born on October 13, 1983, in Lubbock, Texas, to Derek Clark and Mary Evans, Chase was a beacon of kindness, known for his love of helping others and his joy in reminiscing and sharing memories. His warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew him. Chase cherished his family, loved attending rodeos, and was an avid Tennessee Titans fan. He never missed a church service and lived his life with a deep and abiding faith in the Lord.

Chase is survived by his loving mother, Mary, and stepfather, Todd Evans; his sisters, Chelsea Roberts and her husband Reece, Dally Kay Clark, and Taylor Evans; and his cherished grandparents, Warner and Diane Davis, Jim and Joyce Evans, and Duke and Donna Clark. He adored his nieces, Reba and Ruby Roberts, and delighted in creating joyful moments with them. Chase is also survived by his loving aunts and uncles, Robert and Sherry Rodriguez, Gilbert and Shauna Villegas, Doug and Linda Clark, Drew and Darbi Clark; and Brad and Christy Evans. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, great-uncles, great-aunts, family and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Derek Clark; his grandfather, Jack Sanders; his aunt, Jackie Ingram; and his great-grandparents, Charley and Imogene Beals, Heral and Blanche Clark, Jack and Mary Madolyn Shackelford.

A celebration of Chase’s life will be held at 11am on November 22, 2025, at Brick & Blossom Weddings and Events (Staples Old Baptist Church), 10020 FM 621, Staples, TX 78670.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Camp Cummins Activity Center, 241 South Business 35, New Braunfels, TX 78130, a place that brought Chase immense joy and where he spent many cherished days with friends.

Chase’s compassionate spirit, unwavering faith, and enduring love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
