Donna E. Stone

On Wednesday, April 29, 2020, Donna (Ross) Stone, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully at The Mission at Blue Skies after a long illness. Donna was born March 15, 1942, in Haverhill, Massachusetts, to Kenneth and Mary (Pingree) Ross. Donna was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth, her mother Mary, her sister Polly, her first husband Robert Carollo, and her second husband Richard Stone. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Swanson, her sister, Linda Ricketts, her sons Dan and his wife Susan Carollo of Seattle and Gary and Carmen Carollo of San Antonio and eight grandchildren, Abe Carollo, Maria (Carollo) Kim, Gabriela (Carollo) Duron, Valerie Carollo, Karen Carollo, John Carollo, Ben Carollo, Sarah Carollo, and three great-grandchildren, Ezekiel, Mischa, and Elias Carollo. She loved traveling and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed spoiling her cat Suzy. Donna graduated from Pearly High School in Massachusetts in 1959. She was a long-time member of Schertz United Methodist Church. All who knew her will miss her. She will be remembered for always putting others before herself, taking the lowest place to be a servant to others, a deep moral imagination and passion for social justice. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff from The Mission at Blue Skies of Texas for their loving care and attention. A celebration of her life will be announced later.
