Donna Janette Keyser Blaisdell was born March 25, 1933, in New Athens, Ohio, the youngest of three children of Kenneth and Mary Keyser. She entered into eternal rest on November 15, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, her husband, Charles Blaisdell, and her son, Kent Lyles. She is survived by her son, Curtis Lyles, three grandchildren, Christine (Andy) Dorn, Danielle (Al) Bradley, Joseph Lyles, four great grandchildren, one sister and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Donna served her country in the USAF from 1950-1954 and retired from Civil Service after 30 years. Her life took her to Georgia, Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Texas, Germany and Panama, among other assignments.
Donna's ability to host a good party was surpassed by none and her sense of humor was the entertainment, Family was important to Donna and she was happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Ft. Sam Houston and her cremains will join those of her husband, Chuck. The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Animal Defense League.
