Donna Lee Barker was born June 5, 1954 in Waco, Texas. She passed away in Universal City, Texas at the age of 64. She is preceded in death by her father, Don Messina. She is survived by her mother, Elaine Messina; daughter, Melinda (Ross) Dye; brothers, Ben and Scott Messina; grandchildren Richard Westley Barker and Makayla Young. Donna worked as a legal assistant then graduated Southwest Texas University with a Bachelors in Applied Sociology. She worked as an LCDC and counseled women getting out of prison. In her later years she helped cleaning houses and helping with elderly women. She was a part of various self-help groups and was clean for over 30 years. She was full of love, smiles and hugs. Donna was a beautiful soul and the sweetest person. She was very kind and caring and loved helping others. She was brave in the face of addiction and dark forces in our lives. She loved positive affirmations and found happiness in helping others. She had her ups and downs in life as we all do, but she knew God was in charge. Although she left us too soon she equipped us with the love we need to make it through. “White light, miracles, angels, rainbows, Godspeed and love.” – Donna Lee Barker
