Doris Lynn Sichterman was born on December 19, 1972 in San Antonio, Texas and passed away on February 24, 2011 at the age of 38. She is survived by her husband: Walter (Wally) Eugene Sichterman; sons: Nicholas (Nick) Michael Medley, and Kevin Thomas Becker, and stepdaughters: Tiffany Marie and Tabitha Clair Sichterman; mother: Deborah Reilly and her husband, John Reilly of San Antonio, Texas; father: Alfred Seiler and his wife, Lori Seiler of Tow, Texas; siblings: Alan Seiler, and wife Laura of Austin, Texas; Amanda Dunlap and husband Jeramiah of Cedar Creek, Texas, Katie Rayas and husband George of Buda, Texas, Jimmy Reilly and fianc Susan Ouimette of San Antonio, Texas, and Valeria Reilly of San Antonio, Texas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews: Kristin Shafer, and husband Drew of Austin, Texas, Kaitlyn Hallum and fianc Kevin Maxwell of Austin, Texas, Gracen and Aubrey Seiler of Cedar Park, Texas, Kayley Seiler of Austin, Texas, Inez and Iris Rayas of Buda, Texas, and Kelly Dunlap of Cedar Creek, Texas. Doris is preceded in death by one infant nephew, George Rayas, Jr. of Buda, Texas.
Doris was given the name Doris Lynn Seiler at birth. She had her first date with Wally Sichterman on March 30, 2000. She became Doris Lynn Sichterman when she and Wally married on March 27, 2009.
Doris attended Madison High School in San Antonio where she made many friends. She attended San Antonio Beauty College and completed her coursework there. Doris took her State Board Exam in Cosmetology. She passed the exam and was licensed. While she worked as a cosmetologist at several salons, she worked at Pro Cuts for the longest period of time. There, she was recognized for her talent and skill as a Cosmetologist. She made many friends and enjoyed a fun and fast paced work environment. Doris developed carpal tunnel in both wrists and was forced to withdraw from the profession. She continued to take care of her most important patrons hair care needs, of course family and friends! Doris grew up loving animals and having a passion for working with them. Her lifelong desire had been to pursue a career that had something to do with animals. The majority of Doris career was focused on animal care at Rob Carry Pet Resort.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. for family and friends at Puente Sons Funeral Chapel located at 14315 Judson Road San Antonio, Texas.
A memory book is being compiled for Doris husband and young sons. The family would be honored to have contact information and special memories recorded on pages for the book by those attending services. Pages will be made available in the foyer area of the chapel before the services.
