Dorothy Pacheco Carter, born November 27, 1927 passed from this life on June 22, 2019 at the age of 91 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth S. Carter; her parents, Guillermo and Mamie Pacheco; her brothers, Guillermo "Willie" Pacheco, Domingo "Sonny" Pacheco, Claudio "Brother" Pacheco, and Richard Pacheco; her sister, Virginia Pacheco; her beloved grandsons, Raymond David Sanchez and Rey Efraim Herrera; also great grandson, Ryan Matthew Perez. Mrs. Carter is survived by her daughters, Jeanette Garcia, Georgeann Escobedo and Cynthia (Richard) Galvan; 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. Dorothy was a direct descendant of the original settlers of San Antonio from the Canary Islands. As a young child, she grew up in the shadow of Mission San Jose. Dorothy met Kenneth Carter working as a nurses aid at the San Antonio State Hospital. They married and raised three daughters together. She was very close to all of her nieces and nephews as she was their only aunt from their father's side. Mrs. Carter considered herself to be an entrepreneur as she sold many of her floral creations for the different holidays and celebrations througout the years. She loved to travel spend time with family. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten..
