Dr. Cesar Eduardo Velez

Dr. Cesar Velez, DVM passed away due to COVID-19 on the afternoon of August 14, 2021 at the age of 51. Dr. Velez graduated from MU with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Velez was in the Fraternity Alpha Phi Gamma (Moker). Dr. Velez worked and traveled for the United States Department of Agriculture USDA Food Safety Inspection Service for the 18 years.

Over the past 20 years, Dr. Velez and his lovely wife Mandy have attended 5 Super Bowls, was able to travel during his work and vacation with their fur babies to NY, Mexico City, TN, AZ, NM, OK, PA and the list goes on, not once did they leave their puppies behind. It was a one family journey experience the had together.

Survived by his wife Mandy Sorensen Velez of 20 years. Father, Salvador Velez; Mother, Angela Martinez-Velez; Brother Salvador; Sisters, Sandra, Mayra, and Alejandra; Daughter Taylor Norris and Antonietta Salazar; his granddaughters April, Annabelle, and Aubrey.

Dr. Velez also had many, many friends, colleagues, co-workers, and friends here in town where he didn't have to travel. He was loved by many friends.
