Edmundo "Mundo" Hernandez Jr., born September 21, 1959 was called home on March 22, 2022 at the age of 62. He was the oldest of the bunch, something he took pride in and used it to his advantage to set us straight. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edmundo and Genoveva Hernandez; siblings, Richard Ruiz, Alberto Santana, and Maria Hernandez. Mundo is survived by his wife Blanche Cabrera; children Oscar Hernandez-Morales, Richard Hernandez, Edmundo Hernandez III, and Mary Jane Santos; siblings, Martin Hernandez, Johnny Hernandez, Jesse Hernandez, Toni Lowe, and Lupe Preston; niece Letty Hernandez, and numerous grandchidren, other nieces and nephews, and other family members and friends. Mundo lived a happy-go-lucky life, carefree and easy-going, living his life the best way he knew how. He was the king of 9 lives, and was called the man of steel because he had a steel-plate in his head. Mundo had the best sense of humor and was always full of jokes. His favorite saying was "Damn it, don't let it happen again." Mundo kept up with times, he went from asking to borrow $5, to $20. He would say it was because of the epidemic and everything is going up in price. Mundo was a simple man, he gave and showed his love in his own way. He realized that because of his way of life, he missed out on a lot. Who would have guessed that the walk to the corner store for beer would be the last time and he would never return home. Our king of 9 lives, our man of steel, the one who came back four times before he gave his final breath, went out fighting till the very end.
