Eleanor J. Warren, 85, of San Antonio entered into eternal rest in the early morning hours of June 16, 2020. She was born November 28, 1934 in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Charles William and Anna Waslasky King. On June 1, 1955 in Dover, Delaware, she married the love of her life, Jirrel D. Warren, Sr. who preceded her in death on April 8, 2019.
Eleanor was a career Air Force wife and took care of the couple’s four children while Jirrel was stationed overseas. Over the years she worked for Woolworth, Sears, Sea World SA and sold Avon. She and Jirrel grew beautiful flowers and loved to sit on the porch and watch the hummingbirds that frequented their garden. She had a variety of hobbies which included sewing and embroidery, antique shopping, traveling and cheering on the New England Patriots.
She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 64 years, Jirrel D. Warren, Sr., grandchildren Erika Nicole Bolling and Kevin Micheal Kelsey and brothers Richard J. and Henry G. King.
She is survived by a large extended family that includes her four children Dollia Ann Bolling (Tom) of Marshall, Missouri, Nancy Jean Joers (Scott) of Live Oak, Texas, Robbie Lynn Warren of San Antonio, Texas and Jirrel Dean Warren, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas and ten grandchildren Rachel (Bolling) Sims, Andrew Bolling (Mandi) and Megan (Bolling) Garcia of Marshall, Missouri, Rebecca Bolling of Olathe, Kansas, Christopher, Patrick and Stacia Joers of Live Oak, Texas, and Jessica Kelsey and James Patterson of San Antonio, Texas.
She was also blessed with 23 great-grandchildren: Gavin, Ethan, Phoenix, Meadow, Zephyr, Thoren and Juno (Rachel); Aubrey, Adilynn, Ayson and Annley (Andrew); Kaden, Koren, Kamryn, Kortlyn, Kysen, Koraline and Kruz (Megan); Sarah and Charles (Jessica); and Ethin, Marshall and Marcus (Kevin).
Her sisters Joan King and Jean Rogers reside in Northfield, New Jersey while her brother James H. (Jimmy) King resides in Pennsylvania.
