On the 4th of July, 2024, the world bid farewell to a beloved soul, Elia V. Barreto. She was born on November 26, 1943, and throughout her life, she brought immense joy and love to all those around her. Elia's journey touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished.

Elia is survived by her loving husband, Rolando Barreto, they raised a beautiful family filled with love and compassion. Her son, Rolando Barreto Jr., his wife Cristina Beceiro, daughters Yvette Barreto and Cynthia Brauer, along with her grandchildren Abigail, Adriana, Xavier, Diego, and Siena will always carry forward the light that Elia brought into their lives.

In her passing, Elia leaves behind memories that will be treasured by her siblings: Francisco Velasquez, Arturo Velasquez; as well her extended family members Ramona Velasquez and Nelida Velasquez and her nephews and nieces.

Among those who welcomed Elia into the afterlife are her parents Maurilio Velasquez and San Juana Campos Velasquez who surely embraced her with open arms alongside her brother Willie Velasquez and her sisters Ofelia Cruz, Celia Velasquez and Carol Perkins.

Elia's absence will be profoundly felt by all those who had the privilege of knowing her gentle spirit. Her kindness and warmth will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched. May she rest in peace knowing that she was truly loved and will never be forgotten.
