Emerald Anne (Patula) Madl, age 31, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. She was born on October 29, 1990, in San Antonio, Texas to parents, Richard and Precy Patula.
She grew up in San Antonio, graduated from Madison High School, and attended San Antonio College. She was a skillful, creative, and versatile entrepreneur. Emerald had a small business where she built, serviced, and installed residential and commercial gates and fences. She also worked as a sales activation specialist at Spectrum. She enjoyed working with her brother building houses from the ground up.
Emerald cherished spending time with her daughters playing at the park, riding bicycles, and reading books. She was fond of cooking, her specialty was shrimp fettuccini and many different types of Filipino food. Emerald loved music. She played the viola, piano, and guitar. She frequented concerts and enjoyed singing along. She had a passion for playing video games with her friends. Emerald had the extraordinary ability to go from fixing her vehicles to helping her daughter with homework – especially math. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, shooting at the range, taking road trips to the beach, fishing, tinkering on her truck, fabricating and welding metal projects. She was a Texas girl through and through. Even though Emerald faced hardships in life, she was strong and worked hard for her children and family.
She is survived by her daughters, Ariel, Mahalia, and Lilly; her parents, Richard and Precy Patula; her siblings, Jovi Balagtas, Cristina (and husband Garrett) Killian, David Patula, and Michael (and wife Ashley) Patula; her grandmother, Marcia Stover; her husband Nick Madl; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Emerald will be remembered as selfless and reliable to her friends and family. She was always available for anyone who needed her help. Emerald joins her sweet baby boy, Noah, in heaven.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Sunday, November 21, 2021, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels – Northeast, 14315 Judson Rd. San Antonio, TX 78233.
