Ernest R. Vela

Ernest R. Vela went to be with the Lord on August 5, 2014 at the age of 50. He passed peacefully at home, with the love of his life for over 32 years, his wife, Patricia Ann Vela by his side. He battled with cancer for many years, but he was a strong man and never complained. Ernest is preceded in death by his parents, Olivero and Tomasita Vela. He is survived by his wife, Patty Ann Padron Vela; daughter, Ashley Marie Vela; brothers, Oliver (Diana) Vela and Armando Vela; sisters, Azalia (Ignacio) Borroel and Ortencia (Florencio) Campa. He shared his contagious smile and optimistic attitude with everyone he came in contact with. Ernest always put others before himself and would go out of his way to help family and even strangers. He loved old cars and enjoyed having family around him. Ernest is a wonderful man that left happy memories with all of those he touched and will be forever in our hearts.
