Eugene S. Mireles

Eugene Stephen Mireles born in Lockhart, Texas passed away on November 28, 2016.  He attended St. John Seminary High School and graduated from St. Mary's University in 1971.  He started his career in the San Antonio Fire Department in 1972. Gene was a firefighter/paramedic and served his community faithfully for 38 years. He's most known for his love and compassion while helping those in need. He was a great father, grandpa, paramedic and husband. He will be  greatly missed by his family and those lives he touched throughout his career. He is preceded in death by his parents Emilio and Eleanor Mireles. Sister Christine, Brother William and brother Judge Andy Mireles.  Gene is survived by his wife Estela. His daughter Gina Murray and husband Brandon and their two daughters Abigail and Olivia. His Brother Bill Mireles and wife Diane and two nephews, Robert and Michael. His sister-in-law Margaret and his two nephews Jonathan and Matthew. Brother Lawrence Mireles. Brother-in-law Albert Garza and niece Echelle and great nephew Ryan. Sister-in-law Hope Quintanilla and nephews Rene and Ermilo. Funeral service will be held Monday, December 5, 2016 at St Luke's Church (4603 Manitou) with rosary at 1:30pm. Mass at 2pm and procession following to Cordi-Marian Sisters (11624 Culebra Rd) for internment.  In lieu of flowers please donate to Judge Andy Mireles Charitable Foundation (www.andymireles.org)
