Evelyn Stanley Tillery

Evelyn Stanley Tillery, born on September 17, 1932, in Elba, Alabama, passed away peacefully on August 21,2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She lived a remarkable life filled with love, family, and resilience.

Evelyn was the cherished daughter of Francis and Teresa Veal, and she grew up alongside her beloved sister, Laura Martin, as well as her brother, Francis Tillery Jr. Throughout her life, she experienced the heartache of losing her dear sister, whom she adored, and her brother, who held a special place in her heart. She also grieved the loss of her nephew, Jimmy Martin, who was a valuable part of her life and family.

Her legacy continues through her devoted daughters, Rebecca Tillery and Donna Weaver (Adrian), who carry forward the strength and kindness instilled in them by their mother. Evelyn was especially proud of her grandchildren, Joseph May III (Kirstin), James May (Kasey), Autumn Weaver, and Liam Weaver. Each of them brought her immeasurable joy and pride, along with her great-grandchild, Margaret May. In the tender moments of her life, nothing brought her more happiness than the time spent with her family.

Evelyn also leaves behind her niece, Jaretta Martin, who remembers her with fondness and love. Together with the memories of all who knew her, Evelyn Stanley Tillery will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her generous spirit, her dedication to her family, and the warmth she shared with those around her.
